This policy covers the current free, local-only version of Session Vault. A future paid version may add optional cloud sync; this policy will be updated before any such feature ships.

Session Vault saves and restores your browser tabs. Everything stays on your device. There are no accounts, no sign-in, and no servers — your data is never uploaded anywhere. We do not sell your data, show ads, or track your browsing.

1. Scope

This policy applies to the Session Vault browser extension (free, local-only version).

2. Information we handle

Session data you choose to save — the titles and URLs of your open tabs, and the folders, tags, and project spaces you organize them into. This is created only when you (or the autosave feature, if you enable it) save a session, and it is stored only on your device.

What we do not collect: we collect nothing about you. No accounts, no email address, no general browsing history, no page contents, no form inputs, no keystrokes, no IP-based tracking, and no behavioral analytics. None of your data leaves your device.

3. Where your data is stored

All data is stored locally in your browser's extension storage (chrome.storage.local) on your own device. It is never transmitted to us or to any third party. There is no remote server or cloud component in this version.

4. How we use your information

Your saved sessions are used solely on your device to provide the extension's features: saving and restoring your tabs. We have no access to this data. We do not sell or rent it, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone.

5. Service providers

None. This version has no backend and uses no third-party services to operate.

6. Data retention and deletion

Data is removed when you delete a session inside the extension, empty the bin, or uninstall the extension (which clears its local storage). You can export your sessions to a file at any time from within the extension.

7. Security

Because your data never leaves your device, it is protected by your operating system and browser. No security measure is perfect, but there is no remote copy of your data for us or anyone else to expose.

8. Your rights

All of your data lives on your device and is fully under your control — you can view, export, or delete it at any time from within the extension. We do not collect or sell personal information.

9. Children

Session Vault is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction) and we do not knowingly collect their data.

10. Permissions the extension requests

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above and, where appropriate, an in-product notice.
